In stock form, the factory front axle on the Jeep JK's can twist and bind when you're flexing the Jeep to ANY degree. Besides twisting and damaging the housing, this can also cause the shafts to bend, which in turn puts leverage on the gears, causing damage there....you get the idea, everything breaks. By adding this gusset kit, you can help to avoid twisted axles and broken parts. As a bonus, this kit also comes with the lower control arm skids for further protection.
